Welcome to my web site and a sincere thank you for visiting. Photography, since its introduction, has struggled to be accepted as a fine art medium - and this controversy and the inherent struggle imposed is a main factor in my choosing it as my main form of self expression. And despite the occasional manipulation of an image, my ethos in creating a photograph echoes that of Peter Henry Robinson who believed that the unique qualities of tone, texture, and light inherent in photography made it a unique art form, making any embellishments used for the sake of “art” unnecessary. The Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu has had a significant impact in my life and my photographs reflect that influence and are an attempt to capture an inner essence.
