I have been wanting to capture the beauty of the strip as it lights up as the sun sets. Tonight I went out 7ish, as the sun was setting, and posted up in a place I thought might allow for the M to be included. Decided it was too much of a stretch and went with a shot of the strip and a shot of the M.
The #xacamerashare reminded me that I have an Olympus XA and l love it. Don't know when I shot it last but the batteries still have a charge! Had one roll of 35mm film so I decided to get to a spot I had found recently in Sloan as the sun set today. Took two small point and shoots. One film. The other digital. #filmvsdigital
These are from the Lumix DMC-TS25. I'm sending the roll of Fujifilm Fujicolor 200 to the lab tomorrow.
I also want to take the moment to mention that I shot seventy-four frames to get these four.
The Vegas strip has been closed since the middle of March. Late last evening and into the morning, I went downtown, to the Arts District, and (of course) the strip. Despite all of the businesses being shut down (especially the big resorts) there are throngs of bicyclists everywhere. No social distancing and I only saw one person wearing a mask. But when the bikers aren't riding around it is eerily still.
